Crystal served in the United States Coast Guard from 2009-2013 as a Machinery Technician aboard the USCGC Forward in Portsmouth, Virginia. She was responsible for the generators, switch gears, and shore-based power equipment for the cutter and was a Repair Party Electrician.

Following her military service, she was employed for several years as an Instrumentation and Controls Technician with TC Energy’s PNGTS pipeline. In this role, she was responsible for installing, maintaining, and calibrating electrical and electronic equipment used for measurement, controls, and automated safety systems.

She is currently a licensed Journeyman and Limited Master with the state of Maine and a licensed Master in New Hampshire. She is also a trained and certified Efficiency Maine installer for EV Chargers and Heat Pumps.
